1. Honor, honesty, and integrity should be our guiding principles in dealing with one another, with our clients, and with the community at large. 2. We believe ourselves to be an uncommon firm, from our Indian orientation, to our high regard and support for Indian arts, to our egalitarian approach in office management. We will continue to seek to distinguish ourselves by following our consciences, emphasizing our individuality, and adopting practices because they are suited to us, not because they are common practices. 3. We are committed, individually and as a firm, to the protection and improvement of the environment, wild animals and their habitats, and the earth in general. 4. We share a commitment to excellence and will work to be the best that we can be, both individually and as a group. 5. We are committed to serve our clients and communities not merely as professionals, but as friends and benefactors as well. We acknowledge and will work to meet our obligations to our families, our friends, and the communities in which we live and work. 6. We will endeavor to treat all with whom we deal with courtesy and respect. Even in the face of irresponsible or unwarranted conduct on the part of others, we will make earnest efforts to maintain our dignity and professionalism. 7. We will provide a quality working environment for our employees and give them recognition for their part in anything we accomplish. We will help our employees to grow to their greatest potential and will reward their personal efforts and contributions to the success of the Firm. 8. We believe personal fitness, both physical and mental, will shape our ability, individually and collectively, to be our best. For this reason, we support each other and those with whom we work in all reasonable efforts to achieve soundness in mind and body. 9. We will represent our clients zealously, using all resources at our command to achieve their lawful and legitimate ends. Most of all, we will give each client and each matter our best effort, believing that our best effort usually will produce a favorable result and always will produce an honorable result. 10. To provide the best service, we must deal only with matters within our areas of competence. When a matter is beyond our expertise, we will assist clients in finding other attorneys or experts whose skills and knowledge are more suited to the situation than are ours. 11. To serve effectively, we must operate this firm profitably. Thus, while our primary motivation is not to make money, it is important to those we serve, those we employ, and those who depend upon us that we conduct our practice efficiently, effectively, profitably, and in a businesslike manner. 12. We will request and accept only fair compensation for the services that we render. We will evaluate our requests for compensation with full awareness of and regard for the quality and quantity of our effort on the client's behalf, the results that our efforts produce, and the resources of the client. 13. We will constantly re-evaluate our practices and systems to ensure that we are operating as efficiently as possible; using technology as effectively as possible; and, individually and collectively, producing the professional effort that our clients have the right to expect.
